Maine Seeks to Join Lawsuit Challenging Federal Health Care Law

It's official. After weeks of talking about joining a legal challenge to the federal health care law, Maine Attorney General William Schneider has formally asked a federal court in Florida to allow Maine to join Florida's lawsuit as a plaintiff. Schneider is one of six attorneys general hoping to join the lawsuit as late-comers. If their request is granted, it'll bring the total number of states represented in the suit to 26--or more than half the country.
