LePage's Supplemental Budget Focuses on Hospital Debt, Medicaid

Fulfilling a campaign promise, Gov. Paul LePage today unveiled a revised state spending blueprint for the current fiscal year that reduces the state's nearly $400-million dollar debt owed to hospitals for Medicaid services. The proposed supplemental budget also fills a $72 million dollar gap in the state's share of Medicaid payment to health care providers in the MaineCare program.
