Alfond Foundation Commits $10 Million to UNE

The University of New England announced today that it is receiving the largest gift in its history. The Harold Alfond Foundation has promised $7 million to build an athletic complex on its Biddeford campus. And if the university can match the gift, the foundation will give another $3 million to invest in healthcare workforce education--for a total of $10 million.
