Hijacking the Tunisian revolution
It was driven by disenfranchised young people, but are professional politicians now trying to take over?
Crouching dollar, floating yuan
Upset US lawmakers want China to float its yuan against the dollar instead of undervaluing it, but are they listening?
Progress or more instability?
Hundreds of Tunisians took to the streets refusing to recognise their new unity government.
Uncertain times for Tunisian army
We ask if the Tunisian military will tolerate political change and what role it will play in the country's future.
Lack of belief in gods
Explaining the concept, refuting common objections and giving a number of reasons that atheists are sometimes 'fervent'. (Lots of really, really interesting videos from the source.)
Man discovers glasses-free 3D tech in the blink of an eye
Who's got two thumbs and needs glasses to see 3D? Not this guy! Francois Vogel's figured out a way to remove those pesky spectacles from the equation, and he's ready to revolutionize the stereoscopic industry forever. Sure, you'll need a monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate, but that's a prerequisite these days anyhow, and the rest is sweet, sticky gravy dished directly to your eyeballs. Get a sneak peek at the game-changing tech in the video above, and keep an eye out for unicorns (we're sure they're around here somewhere). You'll never look at 3D the same way again, we promise.
VIVIAN MAIER - HER DISCOVERED WORK
Vivian Maier was a New York street photographer for almost 50 years, and she never shared her work with anyone. When she died, she left behind 100,000 negatives, and now her photographs are being hailed as among the best in 20th-century street photography.
This is the blog of the man who now owns 90%-95% of her work and is scanning/developing the negatives and the thousands of undeveloped rolls of film: http://vivianmaier.blogspot.com/

Pingree: Closing Down Guantanamo a Complex but Necessary Task
Congresswoman Chellie Pingree last night returned from a one-day tour of the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Maine's Democratic 1st District representative traveled with a bipartisan group of members of the House Armed Services Committee to inspect the facilities at the prison, where more than 170 detainees are currently being held, two years after president Barack Obama pledged to close down the facility. It was, Pingree says, her first visit to Guantanamo Bay.

Maine Seeks to Join Lawsuit Challenging Federal Health Care Law
It's official. After weeks of talking about joining a legal challenge to the federal health care law, Maine Attorney General William Schneider has formally asked a federal court in Florida to allow Maine to join Florida's lawsuit as a plaintiff. Schneider is one of six attorneys general hoping to join the lawsuit as late-comers. The Euro's Model Student
In the last few months, we've done stories about how actions taken by Ireland, Greece, Spain, and even a European bailout fund have threatened the future of the entire Eurozone.
On today’s show, we bring you the story of one country that played by the rules and did everything exactly the way they were supposed to. One country that made cut after cut, after cut in hopes of gaining access to the special club of the euro — Estonia.
Estonia officially surrendered its kroons and moved to the euro this week so we figured it was a perfect time to ask the country's president if he thought all those sacrifices were worth it.

Maine Social Conservatives Push for Abortion Restrictions
With a governor who opposes abortion in their corner, and Republican majorities in the House and Senate, social conservatives in the Maine Legislature hope to make some modifications to the state's abortion laws this year with a handful of bills that have been referred to the Judiciary Committee. The measures range from requiring women seeking abortions to be told about abortion alternatives to the imposition of a 24-hour waiting period before an abortion can be obtained.

Hundreds March in Portland to Honor King, Protest LePage
Hundreds people marched through downtown Portland today to celebrate Martin Luther King Day. They were also protesting Gov. Paul LePage's recent executive order, aimed at denying state services to undocumented immigrants. Opponents of the measure--which allows state officials to inquire about the immigration status of those who approach their agencies--are concerned that it makes Maine a less welcoming place for refugees and immigrants.
