Maine businesses that rely on foreign student workers could face staffing shortages this summer, due to changes announced by the U.S. State Department. This year, students from a number of eastern European countries will find it harder to get J-1 Visas, which allow them to work in the U.S. during school breaks. And tourist industry officials in Maine are warning those who rely on seasonal employees to be prepared.
